Pink Guava \/Psidium guajava is an arborescent shrub or small tree, up to 33ft. high; leaves light green, finely pubescent and chartaceous; flowers white and fragrant; fruits green to light yellow, but in some varieties, red, varying in shape and size to a great extent; flesh creamish white to yellow and some red.Guava is often referred to as the apple of the tropics; it is a native of tropical America, probably from Mexico to Peru, and has long been naturalized in India. Many varieties are known in cultivation, but a detailed horticultural and systematic study of the species and its varieties are known in cultivation, but a detailed horticultural and systematic study of the species and its varieties is still lacking. Sometimes two varieties are broadly distinguished, var. pyriferum and var. pomiferum based on the shape of the fruits, whether pear-shaped or globose and ovoid. However, they are no longer accorded botanical standing. P. guajava is closely similar to p. guineense and possibility of hybridization beween them seems likely, as they are highly variable with respect of fruit characters, and are also cultivated throughout the tropics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","template":"","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":""},"itempress_category":[11],"itempress_tag":[672,5,228,9,686,1046,30,70,38,217,16,31,75],"class_list":["post-19424","itempress_product","type-itempress_product","status-publish","hentry","itempress_category-cat-40605","itempress_tag-america","itempress_tag-annual","itempress_tag-fruit-seeds","itempress_tag-full-sun","itempress_tag-guava","itempress_tag-guava-leaves","itempress_tag-light","itempress_tag-moderate","itempress_tag-outdoor","itempress_tag-pink","itempress_tag-returnsnotaccepted","itempress_tag-spring","itempress_tag-unbranded"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/pappagallocucina.com.br\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/itempress_product\/19424","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/pappagallocucina.com.br\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/itempress_product"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/pappagallocucina.com.br\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/itempress_product"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/pappagallocucina.com.br\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=19424"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/pappagallocucina.com.br\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=19424"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"itempress_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/pappagallocucina.com.br\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/itempress_category?post=19424"},{"taxonomy":"itempress_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/pappagallocucina.com.br\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/itempress_tag?post=19424"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
