These cold-hardy palms are good for growing is the USDA zone 7b (-15.0 to -12.2 C, 5 to 10 F) to 11 (above 4.5 C, 40 F). These palms can grow up to 3m &#8211; 4m (10 \u2013 15 ft.) with a similar spread. The palms are slow growing with in a clump form. The side shoots can be removed to grow as a single trunked palm. These prefer dryer roots and require well draining soil. They make excellent potted palms, as long as the pots have good drainage, particularly during the winter. A pair of these potted palms greet guests at Cherry Point Palms &amp; Nursery.
