12 (plus a few extra) fresh Red St Joseph heirloom Amaryllis Hippeastrum seeds collected May 2024. We include the instructions for germination (floating method) which is easy and fun to do! Mature bulbs (about 3 years old) have blooms that are bright red with white centers and multiply quickly with offsets. We have been collecting and propagating these seeds for the past several years from our heirloom amaryllis plants that are over 15 years old. The St. Joseph amaryllis bulbs are hardy in the South and do winter-over but will need to be covered if there is a hard freeze. They prefer a little shade in the heat of the afternoon and make wonderful potted patio plants. Mature bulbs can be dug up in the Autumn and forced for Christmas blooms, then replanted in the Spring. Seeds are mailed USPS First Class in a vintage Rose Cottage Seed Company packet. Great gift for gardeners!
