Liatris Spicata – Kobold Strain also known as the Dwarf Blazing Star, and the Dwarf Spike Gayfeather, is a lower growing perennial that has blossoms that are a lilac-rose color on stiff spikes that flower from the top down. These plants are easy and reliable from seed and will prefer a bit more moisture than other Liatris species. It has an erect, compact, clumping growth habit, has a blooming season that ranges from July to September, will grow up to 20 inches tall, and grows best in full sun in dry, average, well-draining soils.
