Matelea gonocarpos- Here is a neat tropical looking perennial twining vine that grows in rich woods and thickets in full sun and part shade. The leaves look a lot like Dutchmans Pipe Vine being 6+ inches-heart-shaped, the clusters of small yellow-brown flowers are interesting with five petals and star-like shaped. The 3 to 5 inch long seed pods are also interesting with their unique shape and shows that this vine is a member of the Milkweed Family. This vine grows to 10 feet or so and dies to the ground each winter. Plant these seeds and enjoy the big leaves and interesting flowers and fruits. Shipping weight: 3 oz.
