Blazing Star Liatris Spicata is a herbaceous perennial native to the United States. Liatris Spicata produces the stiff, cylindrical, flower spikes that are heavily concentrated with deep-rose, purple flowers.
The distinctive flower spikes stand 2 to 4-feet-tall and are magnets for butterflies. Loosen the soil to a depth of 6-8”. Dig a 3” deep hole and place the corm(s) inside with the smooth side down and the sprouts facing up.
