ROX ORANGE SORGHUM aka Waconia Cane Sugar. This a super sweet strain of sorghum used to make sweet syrup and sugar. Developed by the University of Wisconsin for syrup production. A few decades ago, there where thousands of acres planted with Rox Orange for syrup production, but due to the labor-intensiveprocess it was phased out in favor of sugar beets and sugar cane.
