Growing Instructions Before Planting: Digitalis seeds are most commonly sown outdoors after the last frost, for earliest blooms, begin indoors 4-6 weeks prior. Although no serious pests, watch for aphids, mealy bugs, and slugs. Watering: Mixed color foxgloves thrive in consistently moist, rich, well-drained soil without ever being left dry.
