Balloon flower, also known as Bellflower, will grow up to 2 feet tall and the blue-purple flowers are 2 to 2 1/2 inches wide. It blooms midsummer on to frost. The plant gets its name from the way the flower buds 'balloon up' before opening. Perennial plant to zone 4 to 9. It is used as a medicinal herb. Likes full sun but will tolerate some shade. Plant the seeds out in the fall or in early spring you may pot them up. Press seed onto moist soil and keep moist and until germination which should be 10 to 21 days. Nice flower for a perennial flower garden. 50 seeds per pkg.
