Bradford Pear Tree Seeds (Pyrus calleryana) "Callery Pear"The Bradford or Callery Pear is a Flowering Ornamental Pear Tree Native to Asia. It was Introduced to North America in the Early 1900's for Agricultural Use and Quickly Became a Favorite in Landscaping for their Adaptability, Flowering, Fall Color, and Rounded Crown. It is Highly Disease Resistant, Tolerant of Various Soil Types, Climate Conditions, and Not a Favorite Food among Herbivorous Wildlife. All of these Reasons are Why it was Received with Admiration. It's a Great Ornamental Plant for Any Landscape. The Flowering Pear was Planted throughout North America in Yards and Parks. Callery Pear is a Dense, Pyramidal, Ornamental, Broadleaf Deciduous Tree that Grows Up to 50 Feet Tall and 20 to 35 Feet Wide. It is a Very Common Landscape Plant, Most Notably in the Spring when the Tree is Full of White Blossoms. It is Used Frequently for it's Rapid Growth Rate and Tolerance to a Variety of Urban Conditions, Including Drought, Air Pollution, and Heat. Zones 4-8Bradford Pear Germination:1) Soak seed in very warm water for for 24 hours to soften the seeds. Use a thermos to keep the water warm.2) Place seed inside of a zip lock bag filled with moist vermiculite and place them inside the fridge for 60 days to cold stratify.3) Sow the seeds no deeper than 1/16" of an inch deep, and use place in a well lit area that receives a lot of sun, or use a grow light.4) Use a heated propagator mat to keep the soil at 75 degrees F, and also cover with a piece of plastic to keep humidity levels high.5) Keep "slightly moist", and expect germination within 3-4 weeks."Contact us First if you need Anything"
