The rhizome will be trimmed for shipping. This dwarf plant blooms and grows quickly with creamy yellow petals with a slightly orange center and pink tongue. The leaves are a spear-like, green, and growing two (2) to four (4) feet tall. These plants take full sun to partial shade and are easy growers for those who do not have a green thumb. Canna lilies can stay outside in zones 7-11 during the winter. If you are located in zone 6 (or colder climates), you will want to bring them indoor for winter.
