Aquilegia Vulgaris: Nora Barlow is marked by spurless, fully double pink blooms which look like small dahlias. This variety is one of the few Columbines with double flowers and no spurs. Once Nora Barlow begins blooming, expect small clusters of pink flowers for 4 - 6 weeks. Columbines make excellent flowers for cutting. Sow Columbine seeds indoor 6 - 8 weeks before last expected frost. Or, Columbine flower seeds can be directly sown into prepared seed beds with loosened, weed free soil after frost season has passed. Perennial Sun/part shade 24-36" Blooms: Spring and early summer Zones: 3 and upHow to Sow. Columbine will germinate best if sown in seed trays or pots and chilled (refrigerated) at 40 degrees F for 3 to 4 weeks. Just cover the seeds lightly with seed starting formula.
