Florida Ironweed (Veronia Gigantea) The Florida Ironweed is a very lanky, tall flower that blooms bright Purple in late Summer.This long-lived Perennial grows from 4 to 6 feet tall.They are usually spotted near water, but grows in the Pine sand-hills too. Ironweed is the larval host for the Spring Azure Butterfly. It is always covered in bees and butterflies!It grows well in zones 8-10.
