Like most New Mexico varieties, Fresno Chili seeds produce unique pointed fruits that grow upright for harvest. Fresno chilis are similar in shape, size and heat content to that of the traditional Jalapeno pepper. Growing Requirements Sunlight: Fresno peppers require full sun, at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Soil: The soil should be well-drained and rich in organic matter, with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. Water: Regular watering is important for Fresno pepper plants, as they need consistent moisture. However, they should not be over-watered, as this can lead to root rot. Temperature: Fresno peppers thrive in warm temperatures between 70-85°F (21-29°C). Fertilizer: Fresno peppers benefit from regular fertilization, especially during the fruiting stage. A balanced fertilizer with equal amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium can be used.
