This is a an eye-catching heirloom plant that is easy to grow. The origin is Africa and Southeast Asia. Plants vary in height between 2-4 feet tall when fully grown. Plants produce one main central stem, and as the plants grows and gets exposed to more sunlight, the central growing points the leaves will change color from green to peach/yellow then to a bright red/scarlet in mid-summer. The bright red is the leaves/top of plant, not the flowers. This is fun to grow, and looks like fireworks in your garden. Prefers full sunlight and well-drained soil.
